Zimmer’s at Mitzpe Herashim

Here at Mitzpe Herashim you will find these luxurious wooden cabins suitable for couples and families. The cabins are scattered around the forest and are environmentally friendly.

The organic agriculturist Gabi Lavie has made a combination of agriculture and tourism here,

with his beautiful fruit trees that are gracefully watered by guests straight from the cabins. Guests will also enjoy fresh and healthy fruits at all seasons of the year.

The cabins are scattered around the forest and are surrounded by oak, Terebinth and Daphne trees.

There are a choice of cabins with older cabins and newly built cabins made with local natural materials.

The new cabin has been built by local carpenters with log wood that has been placed one beneath the other without nails, however natural mud from the local forest has been placed between them just like in the old days.

Inside the cabin there is a large wood fire with a window which allows the heat to rise and warm up the cabin. In addition the cabin has a kitchenette with utensils, a dining area and seating area.

On the second floor there is a wide window with a balcony facing the western side, a large bed, large Jacuzzi facing the view, television and stereo system.

The two cabins are suitable for couples and families. Each of the cabins has a main room with a kitchen with utensils and a dining area, fireplace, air conditioning and two bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the ground floor and children’s bedroom is on the first floor which also has a playpen and cot for babies. There is a Jacuzzi in one of the bedrooms facing the beautiful forest view. The cabins include a lavatory, balcony and an outdoor picnic area with hammocks, barbeque area and tables in the forest.

Herashim is a communal settlement in northern Israel. Located in the Galilee to the north of Carmiel and near Mount Shazur at 850m high and right near the Mount Miron nature reserve Herashim falls under the jurisdiction of Misgav Regional Council.

The village was established in 1980 as part of the “Lookouts of the Galilee plan”, and its name originates from a nearby archeological site called “Tel Herashim” which was an ancient village of blacksmiths.

The village is surrounded by Mediterranean plows and combined with its beautiful homes makes the village a beautiful sight. Herashim is one of the only settlements in Israel that emphasizes its importance of keeping the environment untouched and savored.

Nearby the village there are many places of observation to see the magnificent view, there are many hiking tours that begin at Herashim and reach up to the Peki’in village.
